On August 13, the Indian film industry commemorates the birth anniversary of the legendary actress Sridevi, who would have turned 60 this year. Her daughters, Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor, along with husband Boney Kapoor, shared heartfelt tributes on social media, reflecting on their cherished memories with the iconic star. Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963. Sridevi began her acting career at the tender age of four. Over the decades, she became a household name for her versatility and talent across various film industries in India including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. Today Jahnvi Kapoor visited Tirupati temple on Sridevi’s birth anniversary. Janhvi took to her Instagram handle on Tuesday morning to share three pictures with the caption “Happy birthday Mumma (red heart emoji) I love you.” The first picture was of the steps that lead to the Tirupati temple, which suggested that Janhvi followed her ritual of climbing upto the temple on foot on her mother’s birth anniversary. Sharing a beautiful picture of Sridevi, Boney wrote on Instagram, “Happy birthday my Jaan (hug and kiss emojis) (sic). ” She rose to fame with her memorable performances in Hindi films, including English Vinglish, Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Nagina, and Sadma. Her last film, Mom, earned her a posthumous Best Actress National Award. Sridevi died in February 2018. She was in Dubai at the time of her death, and her body was recovered from a bathtub in the hotel she was staying at. It was reported that she died due to accidental drowning.
