Savitri Jindal : India’s fifth wealthiest person and richest woman in the country

A 73-years-old lady, Savitri Jindal became the richest woman of India and the fifth wealthiest person in India. She has seen increase in her wealth by $9.6 billion in 2023 beating Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani as cited by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. With this addition to her total wealth, Jindal’s fortune stands at around $25 billion.
She is the chairperson of the OP Jindal Group, founded by her husband, the late OP Jindal in 1952.
She controls a conglomerate that operates listed companies includes JSW Steel, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Energy, Jindal Saw, Jindal Stainless and investment company JSW Holdings.
She became the chairperson after her husband’s death, Om Prakash Jindal.
