World Saree Day 2023 celebrates the sheer elegance and simplicity

The World Saree Day is celebrated on 21 December every year. This day was initiated by fashion enthusiasts Ms. Sindhura Kaviti and Mr. Nistula Hebbar to honor the weaving communities and unique art of sarees in 2020. This day is celebrated to revive the tradition and legacy of saree. It also highlighs the significance of traditional Indian attire. Saree embraces the simplicity and sheer elegance of woman. It enlightens the natural beauy of a woman. Sarees have become an indispensable part of celebrations and occasions specially in Indian Culture.
One can find the legacy of wearing saree in many Indian Women Personalities like Rani Lakshmi Bai, Indira Gandhi, Gulabi Gang , Lata Mangeshkar and many more. They embibed the culture of Indian Saree in themselves depicting the strength of woman.
India witnesses different saree styles taking from Banarasi Saree of North to Kanjeevaram Saree of South and Bandhani, Leheria saree of West to Dhakai Jamdani and Khadi of East.
