National Parents’ Day 2024

National Parents’ Day is celebrated on fourth Sunday of July each year. This year it falls on July 28. It’s a special occasion dedicated to honour and appreciate parents for their love, guidance, and commitment. This day provides an opportunity for children to express their gratitude and to strengthen familial bonds. The purpose of National Parent’s Day, which was instituted in 1994 by President Bill Clinton as a result of a Congressional Resolution sponsored by Republican Senator Trent Lott, is to encourage responsible parenting and parents to provide their children with positive reinforcement. The following year, on July 28, 1995, the first Parents’ Day was celebrated. On that day, Mr Clinton himself presented the inaugural National Parents of the Year Award.This day honours the unbreakable love that exists between parents and their children as well as the sacrifices made by parents.The day emphasizes the crucial role of parents in offering emotional and physical support, fostering strong family connections, and preparing future generations for life’s challenges.
